Ensure that you speak the language of the experience (our city was in England but the experience language was Dutch, which we couldn’t change). Over Manchester

Excellent and informative way to spend a couple (well three in our case!) of hours solving the mystery around the streets and sights of Manchester. Don't worry if you get some clues wrong as you get a nother chance at the end to get any missing letters. Enjoy!

Over Edinburgh

Really enjoyed the escape tour. Some of the clues were a bit unclear in the wording. One of the answers was given correctly but the app said we were wrong on a large numerical answer. It's a great way to spend a few hours seeing the city. Would definitely do another one in a different city.

Over Nottingham

The “escape the city” activity was enjoyable with a variety of puzzles utilising the surroundings and monuments of the city. It was nice to explore and discover parts of the city which I hadn’t taken the time to notice before. The puzzles had a good mix of difficulties to push your logical thinking. All in all, an enjoyable experience.

Over Winchester

If it wasn't for the fact that the company still owes us a free tour, we wouldn't use them again.

Over Cardiff

This could be a great activity but it was outdated and some of the clues could not be answered due to recent changes in the area. Some of the instructions were ambiguous and led to wrong answers being submitted. The Android App simply would not load the 'game' but fortunately one of the team had an iPhone, and after a quick download, we were able to continue.

Over Winchester

Nice idea, but there are some problems. The app only worked on 1 phone. Some clues had been removed from Winchester, you need to make sure the information is still there and visible. Some clues did not use clear English so we had to guess the instructions. If you can fix these issues I think it will be a good group experience.

There were a couple of problems with logging in, staff were very helpful. It meant battery power was low but we were able to log on using a different phone so could complete the activity. One answer was definitely incorrect so we've sent in a photo for that. Sometimes hints weren't very clear but of course it's supposed to be a bit of a challenge and overall we enjoyed it.

Over Lissabon

Very fun way to explore the city. Sadly we couldn’t find 1 and one of the last we had to look at a wall and count some thing but there was a market so we couldn’t see the wall properly but we had fun.

Over Liverpool

Loved the concept but found the system a bit clunky so it took longer & became frustrating at times.

Over Canterbury

This was a really fun way to see the city. We liked that it was based in history and took us down roads we had not walked down before. Loads of fun and interesting facts too.

Over Amsterdam

I was generally really disappointed, the story was not good and had no relation to the places where we we're. The assignments where extremely basic and not challenging and no historic facts we're included. Price quality ratio was very low. I regret having payed and we didn't finish the game. Would absolutely not recommend

Over Leicester

The tour could be really enjoyable and has a good range of questions. Some of the questions could have been correct for us if the question was asked correctly because we knew the answer but answered the question asked. Some of Leicester had works in progress so inscriptions and facades needed to solve the quiz couldn't be accessed due to being fenced off which made it frustrating and seemed unfair

Over Brighton

We enjoyed it. It was a fun way to explore the city. The puzzles were fun and not too challenging - I liked that they used buildings and other things in reality for them. Only issue was that some of the clues were incorrect and there were some errors. But overall a good experience and I liked the story

Over Madeira

Excellent idea ( History of Madeira , city landmarks Funchal) terribly executed. Some questions were impossible to answer , or completely misleading. Once we figured out where we were supposed to go ( in spite of missing letters ) we were not allowed to do it. Most times when we did not get the answer we were not told how we were supposed to get it.

Over Sevilla

Total waste of money. The app doesn’t work and the map is all blank, we didn’t know where to go neither could we start the tour. I had a previous tour with another company and bought this one as a birthday gift. I was totally embarrassed because nothing worked and now I’ll probably have to fight to get my money back. Don’t do this!!

Over Manchester

Unfortunately, the day we chose it rained the whole time and spoilt the fun. However, we enjoyed the challenge and the walk around the centre of Manchester. It gives you a different perspective of the locations & buildings and opens your eyes to things you had noticed previously in your home city.

Over Londen

An enjoyable thing to do whilst in London. We were one clue off finishing in the 4 hrs but we did stop for a drink for 30 mins and to rest our feet (hot day). Would’ve liked to have been able to pause the game but this isn’t an option. Be prepared for some very detailed clues which may take slightly longer than others.

An escape tour is a fantastic way to discover interesting points of history about city. We toured Leicester with a former resident and she was delighted to see parts of her home town that she was previously unaware of. Some of the clues need tightening up on as they were either too open to interpretation or quite simply wrong, but we got enough letters to find the exit. All in all though a thoroughly enjoyable walk around a city I hadn't been to before and as on a previous tour that I took part in, it ended by a quirky pub where we stopped for refreshments. Perfect.

Over Birmingham

Second escape we have done after escaping from York with a different company. Unfortunately this escape had quite a few mistakes in the questions and missing answers! Complete statues have been moved for refurb etc so we were unable to answer a fair few questions. Still a nice way of seeing lots of the best parts of Birmingham!
