Leuke route die centum York. Het verhaal was prima. We konden de zoeklocaties niet altijd vinden door onduidelijkheid in de app.
Once we got started we had a great time, and only missed out on the 2 hours deadline because we needed to take a comfort break.
Overall quite enjoyable but storylines longwinded just lucky the weather was good as it would not have been fun huddled over a phone in the rain. Some clues no longer existed as shops/businesses no longer existed. Some clues were unclear to 4 intelligent people! Sometimes retracing steps or route went round in a circle so not very progressive. Convoluted set up at the start. Deleted the app soon after finishing as getting unwanted messages. Probably wouldn’t use this company again.
A great way to see the city. Might have been more time to enjoy it if we hadn’t been worried about the time restriction of the competition. But a good idea
Very enjoyable, very interesting and learnt some Interesting facts about our home city. We will take another tour when visiting Düsseldorf next year!
Absolutely terrible. Despite what the instructions say, you must have data turned on on your phone, as you must watch a youtube video at the start. Quite why you are not allowed to watch this befre the task starts, I don't know. Also, the location precision was not working. We were at the right places shown in the map, but even with precise tracking on, it claimed we were 100m+ away. Absolute waste of money. I'd never use this company again.
It was a splendid way to discover and view different parts of the city, although if you are competitive and trying to complete it as fast as possible, there isn’t much time to look around during the quest. We have played similar kind of trails however the back story to this made it all the more interesting.
Excellent. Very well thought out and been down streets that I haven't been down even tho I have been to York 1000's off times. And passed by a lot of some interesting places.
Great two hours in Uork following clues and a map. Saw parts of York we hadn’t seen before. Enjoyable experience. Would do it again in a different city
I liked the concept of the app and the GPS activated questions, however it drained our battery too quickly and the questions seemed unrelated to the mission overall. We enjoyed our other city scavenger hunt (with a paper book) more.
Good fun but more information in advance would be helpful for first-timers. Once you've done one you get the idea of how to speed up your timing so that you have a chance of completing it in 2 hours but we were way off finishing. Enjoyed what we did though.
Brilliant game we enjoyed it , we would definitely do another one and will recommend it.
A really good day out, got to see many places that haven’t even seen before in town. A fun way to explore town and get the steps in!
The theory is good but I found the story a bit tedious. We found some clues no longer existed and had a problem just getting stuck with OK on the screen that wouldn't continue. Can't believe all distances were 147m. We got the exit answer but had no incentive to go there as we were over 2 hours and the game didn't say what to do. There didn't appear to be an instruction to go to the exit or a congratulations type message. Disappointing.
As York residents we enjoyed being tourists wandering through the city centre answering the questions. It was a great activity to participate in as a family. One of the questions could do with updating but that didn’t affect the overall experience.
An interesting way of exploring a city we knew reasonably well, took us to new areas we hadn’t explored
Had a really fun time doing the escape tour- it's a great way to see a new city and explore a place and learn new things too
I wasn't sure what to expect but it turned out great, the app is really clever and leads you to the next point easily. The clues were the right level of difficult to make it a challenge but not too much so that you couldn't pass to the next point. I would do this again in another city and recommend it to anyone!
Having done Escape Tours in Brussels and Paris, this one held together as a story the most and the clues were fun and inventive. My son and I love escape room activities and thoroughly enjoyed this. Even better: there were street food stalls so that we could have lunch on the go (our energies were lagging and it slowed down our thinking!)
Fun to do but frustrating at the start when it wouldn’t load for ages despite a good internet connection. Otherwise very enjoyable.
