The Colossus of Rhodes was once one of the largest statues in antiquity. This impressive statue of the sun god Helios stood at the entrance to the harbor and was a symbol of the city. Although the statue no longer exists, the site remains important to the history of Rhodes. You can still see the location where it once stood.
