On a cold evening in 1719, Princess Maria Clementina Sobieska is imprisoned in the Hofburg in Innsbruck. The daughter of the Polish king is engaged to James Stuart, the Scottish pretender to the throne. Emperor Charles VI wants to prevent that marriage at all costs and has therefore had her imprisoned. But Clementina will not simply allow herself to be used as a pawn in a political game. Time to take action, time to escape!
Disguised as a servant, she slips out of the palace and begins her flight through the city. Not long after, Otto, a coachman, discovers her plan. He wants to help her escape, but there’s a problem: his coach is broken. As the guards draw ever closer, Clementina must help Otto repair the coach so they can flee together and reach the secret exit from Innsbruck!
