The Story of Faro

Starting location: Largo do Carmo 21

Back to 1247. The year in which Alfons III became the first king of Portugal. He did not have a good image, because Alfons was a real womanizer. He preferred to skip the nobility, but there was plenty of choice for him in the local pub. And the barmaid was clearly his favourite! Every woman who got Alfons pregnant got a house as a present. How they paid the rent was a question for nobody...

The king's dissolute life did not go unnoticed. Unfortunately for Alphonsus, his stories also reached the Pope. It was not long before the prince sent his troops in the direction of Faro. This could not go on! Alfons saw the storm coming and had to get out of there. He vaguely remembered something about the secret exit from Faro. He needed it now!
