The Story of Bonaire
Het was augustus 1963. De grootste meerdaagse speerviswedstrijd van de Cariben stond op het programma. Captain Don Steward zat in de organisatie en heeft zijn best gedaan om er een mooi evenement van te maken. Op de deelnemerslijst stonden een paar grote namen, waaronder hijzelf, en ook Carel Steensma (Hoofd Vliegdienst van de KLM op Curaçao) had zich aangemeld.
De grote kist vol met wapentuig staat al gereed op de kustlijn van Playa als de duikers zich klaarmaken voor de start. Klokslag 12:00 uur verdwijnt iedereen bewapend met een speer in het helderblauwe water. Maar niet lang daarna kleurt de oceaan rood, bloedrood. Captain Don hapt naar adem, maar dan wordt het plots zwart voor zijn ogen...

De Escape Tour Bonaire is anders dan de andere Escape Tours. Je blijft namelijk niet in één stad, maar dwaalt langs meerdere mooie plekken op het eiland. De route is circa 20 kilometer lang. Hierdoor is deze Escape Tour niet geschikt om wandelend te doen! Pak dus de auto of scooter en ontdek het prachtige eiland. Maar let op: om de opdrachten uit te voeren moet je vaak wel je voertuig verlaten en te voet verder gaan.
