Over Escape Tour straatsburg
Frau Troffea was an unremarkable figure in Strasbourg. Since the age of seventeen she had worked as a waitress in the city’s most important inn, a place frequented mainly by merchants and nobles. Every evening there was plenty of drinking and celebrating. Troffea was often found dancing on the bar, only to end the night in the bed of one of the guests.\n
In 1518 Troffea decided to turn her life around and focus more on herself. Dancing was what she did best. Before she knew it, she was in the city centre making graceful moves. It did not take long before others joined her. It became a true folk festival that eventually lasted for months, much to the annoyance of the city council. People dancing non-stop had to be locked away in the madhouse. That was the sign for Troffea to flee the city!
